Growing Up

Do you remember when we were little kids? Back when the world was so care free and nothing could hurt you? The only thing you were scared of was the monster under the bed and didn't understand what a broken heart was? The world had no fears and Dad was the bravest man in the world. Superheros were real and Santa Clause, and the tooth fairy. Always looking forward for the days to pass and not living in the moment. Not having regrets. Boys had cooties and Every little thought in our minds were new creations. Learning something new every day. Not realizing the extent of how bad things really are. Crying for hours at the doctors office after getting a shot and as soon as you got a sticker the tears just stopped. Sometimes I wish life was like that. You could wake up every morning with a brand new slate. No grudges being held, grades aren't going to affect you future, rolling in the grass, being a kid. The best memories I have are from Elementary School. Knocking over a mean boys blocks, falling in the trash can on yogurt day, never memorizing my times tables, how excited I was on upside down day. The best days of your life are the ones you remember most. I look back and wish I wouldn't have rushed through the years. But you can't take it back. Just live in the moment because when you get into you twenties, all your going to do is look back and ask yourself why you rushed through these teenage years. Don't be afraid, take every chance you get, live laugh and love, and never forget
